SWADEPA women’s League aims to defend and advance the rights of women, both inside and outside SWADEPA, against all forms of national, social and gender oppression and to ensure that women play a full role in the life of the organization, in the people's struggle and in national life.
SWADEPA women’s League. women’s League works as a lever to advance women’s representation in SWADEPA and in Swazi politics with the objective of achieving gender equality.
We live in a society where women do not have an equal status to men. In advancing gender equality, SWADEPA does not argue for uniformity between men and women, but that they enjoy the same status and have the same opportunities to engage in and influence their society
SWADEPA Women’s League is open to women who are members of SWADEPA and has the same basic structure as SWADEPA, namely, national, regional and branch.
The Women's League is an autonomous body within the overall structure of SWADEPA, of which it is an integral part. The Constitution, rules and regulations of the Women’s League must be in accordance with the Constitution and policies of SWADEPA. The women appoint their own representatives to Swadepas governing bodies.
SWADEPA has an objective of a specific quota of women in the different levels of the organization, to ensure an inclusive nature of the organization.
